VP Global Support & Customer Service
Marvin Rowell serves as VP, Global Support and Service at Baselayer®. In this role he is responsible for support and service functions for both the Baselayer® RunSmart™ and Baselayer® Anywhere product lines. Prior to his current role at Baselayer®, Mr. Rowell was VP of Quality and Test for IO’s modular datacenter product lines. Marvin also served as the Operations Manager for IO responsible for over one million square feet of data center space and 50 megawatts of power infrastructure. Prior to joining IO, Mr. Rowell served as a foreman at Cannon and Wendt Electric managing teams on high profile jobs such as Stadiums, Resorts, Hospitals, and Data Centers. Mr. Rowell attended Gateway Community College where he studied electrical science. Marvin also completed the IBEW Apprenticeship Program to obtain a Journeyman Wire License.
VP Data Center Strategies
Kindra Martone serves as Vice President, Data Center Strategies for Baselayer®. In this role, Kindra is responsible for Baselayer®’s go-to-market strategy, channel partner management, sales, and marketing. Kindra has served in numerous senior executive roles over the span of her 15-year career in high growth technology companies. Prior to Baselayer®, Kindra was the global sales leader for CenturyLink’s data center services division, which comprised over 50 data centers across North America, Europe and Asia. Kindra was part of the team that sold this division (since renamed Cyxtera Technologies) to BC Partners and Medina Capital in May 2017. Kindra earned dual degrees at Arizona State University, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Sr Director Software Services
Bryan serves as the Senior Director of Software Services for Baselayer®. He is responsible for Baselayer® RunSmart™ software support services and development. Prior to Baselayer®, Bryan was the Sr Manager for the Platform Solutions support team at IO Data Centers which covered every facility and customer within their global footprint. Before IO, he managed the System Engineer team at a large foods distributor and was responsible for all internal IT operations and customer support as well as all server environments and datacenters across their nationwide locations. Bryan has a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications with 16 years’ experience supporting IT infrastructure, datacenter operations and facility integrations.
Mark Moreno serves as Director, Manufacturing for Baselayer®. In this role, Mark is responsible for working with and developing third-party manufacturing teams and supervising the building of Baselayer® modules. Mark has been in the manufacturing industry for 25 years. His experience includes management roles at Motorola/Freescale, Intel, and Global Foundries Semiconductors.
Director Supply Chain & Logistics
Mark Walters serves as Director of Supply Chain & Logistics for Baselayer®. He is responsible for Baselayer®’s supply chain strategy, management and execution. Mark’s responsibilities include contract manufacturer selection and development, logistics, product costing and overall project delivery management. Mark has been with Baselayer® since its founding, having started with the company as an intern, progressing through various positions in manufacturing engineering. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with a focus in Statistics from Arizona State University. Mark is also Lean Six Sigma greenbelt-certified.
Director Mission Critical Business
Bobby Houston serves as Vice Chairman and Director of the Mission Critical Business segment for IE Corp. This role includes developing and maintaining a sustainable work environment for our team of industry experts. It also includes maintaining a high level of engagement with the existing and potential customer base to better understand the current challenges in the industry and how IE Corp and Baselayer® can create practical solutions to make people’s lives easier using common sense, innovation, speed and agility. Bobby began his career at IE Corp as an entry level technician in 1996. Since then he has held multiple positions in operations, service and management in three out of four of the current IE manufacturing facilities including Utah, Ohio and Colorado. His goal has constantly been to work himself out of a job and create opportunities for new and existing employees which in turn creates better support for our customer’s and the communities in which we operate. While working part time Bobby attended the College of Eastern Utah, now Utah State University Eastern, where he received his Associates in Pre-Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He then went on to attend Arizona State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering with an emphasis in Power and Electromagnetics.
